Besitzer von Samsung Smart TVs können seit kurzem nicht mehr die Twitch-TV-App nutzen, wie unter anderem bei Reddit.com berichtet wurde. Ob dafür Samsung oder der Streaming-Dienst verantwortlich ist, ist derzeit noch ungeklärt. Samsung selbst verweist über Twitter die verärgerten Nutzer an Twitch.

Die bisher verfügbare App für Samsung Smart TVs wurde laut dem Twitch-Forum jedoch nicht direkt vom Streaming-Dienst entwickelt, sondern von einem Drittanbieter bereitgestellt. In der offiziellen Liste der unterstützten Geräte werden Samsung Smart TVs nicht aufgeführt.
Fraglich ist nun, ob die bisher verfügbare App bald auf die Samsung Geräte zurückkommen wird oder ob Twitch eine offizielle App bereitstellt. Wieso der Drittanbieter die App derzeit deaktiviert hat ist nicht bekannt.
